What Obserc Does
Obserc is a social safety network built around real relationships.
It is not a lone-user tracker — it is a circle-based system where safety is shared.
Users build a trusted group (their "Circle") of friends, family, housemates, or partners and stay connected through live updates, smart alerts, and coordinated safety tools.
The core philosophy: safety should feel connected, not clinical. Obserc is designed for everyday use as much as emergencies.
Core Features
Circles
Circles are the foundation of Obserc. A Circle is a trusted group of people — friends, family, housemates, partners, or anyone you want close by when it matters.
Users can create multiple Circles and organise their support network around real relationships.
Circles make it easy to share updates with the right people and ensure support feels personal and fast.
Night Out Mode
Night Out Mode is Obserc's flagship feature for social safety.
It is designed for evenings out when the music is loud, streets are crowded, and plans change fast.
Night Out Mode keeps a Circle aligned, visible, and protected without interrupting the experience.
Key sub-features within Night Out Mode:
Live Squad Map — See where everyone in your Circle is in real time during a night out
Find My Squad — Locate and regroup with your Circle quickly when separated
Night Out Reports — A simple recap of important moments from the night, delivered after it ends
SOS Beacon
One-tap emergency alert.
When something goes wrong, speed matters. SOS Beacon instantly shares the user's live location and sends an emergency alert to their trusted Circle.
The right people are notified immediately — even if the phone is in a pocket.
Siri shortcut: "Hey Siri, Obserc send help."
Real-Time Location Insights (Circle Maps)
Track your own location and your Circle's location with live updates.
Useful when feeling uneasy or during a night out. Includes trail view and movement logs.
Check-Ins
Simple, fast updates that let a user's Circle know they are okay.
Used for everyday moments — getting home, arriving somewhere, walking to a car at night.
Siri shortcut: "Hey Siri, Obserc check in."
Smart Notifications
Meaningful push alerts for Circle and safety activity.
Covers arrival notifications, separation alerts, low battery warnings (Stability Mode), and check-in prompts when a user is alone and stationary.
Circle Nudges
Nudge a Circle member if you think they are not okay.
They receive an instant prompt to respond and confirm they are safe.
Siri Integration
Obserc integrates with Siri for hands-free safety — critical in emergencies where unlocking a phone is not possible.
Supported Siri commands:
"Hey Siri, Obserc send help." — Triggers a Critical SOS to the primary Circle with live location
"Hey Siri, Obserc check in." — Logs a quick "I'm safe" update to the Circle feed
"Hey Siri, Obserc tell my friends to call me." — Sends a discreet alert to the Circle requesting a phone call
Push Notifications
Instant alerts for all Circle and safety activity.
Covers: Night Out summaries, Circle activity (e.g. Find My Squad activations), afternoon check-in prompts, separation alerts, check-in prompts when alone and stationary, and battery risk warnings.
